From some of the notes I read on it, it looks pretty cool. Finally, distinctive armor. :) Signature quests look pretty cool as well.

I recently resubbed to EQ2 after becoming bored with WoW, again.

SOE apparently given out several 'gift' items to players who've had accounts for the longest time. A weapons rack and a cool painting went into my house, but thats small potatoes. A device that makes fireworks was pretty cool, but not really useful. However, the draughts of the wise, potions that increase your tradeskill xp and combat xp were invaluable. They came in 3 strengths, 26%, 37%, and 52% xp bonuses, 3 of each strength.

I've also noticed a number of UI changes that streamline the gameplay.

Only major downside to EQ2 is that it makes me want to upgrade my computer every time I play it. :p

Wow, SOE can really churn them expansions out, can't they?

This is what, like the 3rd one already? Not counting the 'upgrade packs' they also charge you for?

Its the second expansion.

Everquest was released with a goal of 2 expansions and 4 adventure packs a year, the latter being free to Station Access members. It's not a bad thing really, they have separate teams working on everything and this garantees that you get as much content as you want to pay for.

Any screenshots of the new UI?

Its relatively minor, like how many items you have in your house, and the total. And when I'm crafting and an event occurs, if I successfully counter it, it turns green, if not, it turns red.

The quest giving, information, and organization is also much better than when I quit last time.
