I picked one up today as I am interested in filming my kids games, vacations, etc w/o the need for tapes or later conversion steps to make dvd's.
I have yet to open it but have not been able to find any reviews or that model. It seems the older model is alright, but a good dv camera in the same price range outshines image quality. But then, it has been explained that once converted to dvd, the resulting image is similar to the Everio.
Just curious as to opinions. I do have 30 days to return it for something else.
