Ever worry about money?

Well, it's that time of the year again, the time where rent has been eating away on my savings, my new job (which pays well) has not started yet and I'm running low on money. I hate digging around my room looking for things to sell just so I can buy christmas gifts for people. I have enough money for gifts and this month's rent, but if I don't get started at my new job, I'll be flat broke, with no money to go skiing!

if youre that broke dont buy gifts

maybe a card for someone you really wanted to do something for, after my wife being on leave for being pregnant, then starting another job (whose higher pay hasnt kicked in yet) i wont be buying so many gifts this year for people

oh, but i dont worry about money, worrying is a waste for me

Or don't go skiing. If I don't go to England to visit my family this year I may miss the last Christmas my stepdad has. But... that might mean I can't upgrade my PC!!! Ooh, tough choice, a one-time treat for yourself, or doing others a favour!

Buy less expensive gifts, and don't go skiing so you have time/money to spend some other time. Or borrow some cash for presents and don't be a cheapskate.

I'm Dutch, and I'm not that cheap! (Just to show how cheap you are)

All the time..

But if things are that tight your family will understand that you cant afford to spend money on gifts. BUT if you do that i wouldnt be going skiing either.

Peeps will understand if you're broke. Don't sweat it, don't go into debt if you can help it. What about Mom or Dad? No loan action? Grants? $$ gifts?

You could tell them, "all I want for xmas is money to turn the heat back on!"

Blessed beyond measure,

Gravity

Yes. That worry gnaws a lot as of late. To the tune of I have to ask my dad for money, and Christmas is cancelled.

Money sucks. I need to find an island in the south pacific that I can just live as we were originally intended to... naked and free. 😛

Always concerned, but not worried much recently. We're making good money and I'm still chugging along in the 93 sentra, watching our savings account get fed in the butt monthly now. It's nice to have savings grow, even if it means not having some things I'd "like" (I have all I "need"). Haven't had credit card debt in a long time (if you have to borrow to buy it, you can't afford it). I refuse to americanize our finances 🙂

Then leave! :|

Ya know if you're that concerned about money, there are alternatives to the fashionable christmas gift. Do something nice for your friends & family or god forbid *make* something for them (dinner, dessert, painting, video, powerpoint presentation, whatever).

Yes. Everytime I think about my loans and credit cards I get sick to my stomach. 🙁

I'm still getting my friends gifts or cards though. 😀

That's actually what I'm doing. I have some fingerpaint and my imagination.
