http://www.mindfully.org/Reform/2004/Republican-Propaganda1sep04.htm

Is there any help:

http://mason.gmu.edu/~amcdonal/Propaganda Techniques.html

http://www.covenantnews.com/white050608.htm

Lots of propaganda is inoculation against any cure.

Take the factor of elitism. Since the first and obvious point anybody will make when their propagandization is called is pointed out to them is the obvious implication that the other person is saying he or she is superior to them. They are better than we are because they claim to see through things us ordinary folk believe in. So propagandists teach us to hate the elite. They are the real folk out to subvert our minds.

So why is it that some people can't be brainwashed and most people are sheep? How do you think you'd feel if everything you were ever taught to believe is just a pile of shit? I feel fine, by the way, in case you are wondering about that, but they why wouldn't I being one of the rare elite.

Do you ever feel ashamed that you can't really think, that you are a tool?

Your job is to calm yourself and be rational, totally ignoring me and my little digs, and focus inwardly? Can you see that you're a trained monkey? Do you want the blue or the red pill? Are you food for the machine?

What I find amazing and very scary for humanity is the rate at which daily allegations of lies, fraud, corruption, cooked books, bribed judges, institutional rot, etc and so forth, are uncovered. Every day something major is exposed, so major like the pentagon papers 30 some years ago which rocked the nation but today 400,000 pages barley registers. It has become surreal how normal it seems.

I created a thread in OT a couple of days ago about how Yankee fans were spitting on the wives of Texas Ranger players (specifically Cliff Lee's wife and Misty May (Olympic Gold beach beach volley player married to one of the Ranger catchers)) and there were several replies to the effect that this 'normal'...

Pretty sad and fvcked up IMO...

Agree totally. Society has just coarsened.

Sports is pretty unimportant next to politics, and politics is pretty unimportant next to the decisions I make for myself.

The best way to prevent braindeadism or cure it, is to associated with as many real life people as you can.
I'm not talking about about saying hello to Ricky at the water cooler and ten bragging up how he is your best friend
A group of 20 people from every walk of life that you can share and trust with
And of course laugh your asses off with

You have to come out of that bubble, by the sounds of it, you've got a lot of layers.
I'll start cutting away some of the outside ones, they seem to have the hardest surface to them.
May have to use plastics and a good wall to make sure you get all the juice.

I've admitted that I am not super-human.

-John

Under torture, or via analysis? Being human might just be super were it not for the programming. If you were walking around as superman you might just find that folk who feel like shit might want to bring you down and you'd be brainwashed if you believed it, eh?

Could be, in other words, you've been brainwashed into thinking you're not super as a human.

Next question is what to do with the imperfections if they are real, no?

If I were ruining a church that depended on donations, I would certainly want you to believe this. I would want you coming to me for salvation. Bribes go in the basket. I wouldn't want you finding out you're God on your own. No cutting out the middle man, right?

But I shouldn't be saying this because it will give somebody somewhere an idea for a business.

I've noticed that when you point out something rotten about Republicans to PJAB he points back at Democrats. He spends lots of time propagandizing against them.

Enough smell of excrement and after a while you don't smell shit, no?

We've heard that violence numbs folk to violence. I knew a Polish girl once, who when she watched American movies would writhe and scream and claw my arm to pieces.

If I were the government or corrupt I would want it as you describe and be sure there was lots of negative news. When you boil a frog in an uncovered pot you raise the temperature slowly. Americans should be just about done.

Why do we believe when we know nothing? Why are we full of opinions? Why are you the only one who can see? How did you learn not to believe in math? What are the chances that only you are right?

The only folk who have anything in common, it seems to me, are folk who don't believe anything, who have questioned and discarded everything they were taught., no?

Maybe exactly the question PJIBBERISH, if the GOP resurgance takes the house and possibly the Senate, conservative psychobabble will be put to the test.

And heaven help the GOP come 11/2012 if unemployments soars. After all conservatibe pyschobabble was put to the test in 1929, as the GOP now advocates exactly the same policies Hoover tried in 1929. And the American people got 25% unemployment as a result.

And if the democratic sweep of 1932 is any indication, the GOP thereafter did not see a house majority for a full 62 years.

In short PJIBBERISH, you may think your fine expresso, fine Conac, and fine wine you drink on the morning of 11/3/2010 tastes fine, but it may be a fatal dose of poison for us all in short order.

Just some food for thought for you, regardlesas of how cool you think your coffee cup looks like.

Lots to point out all around. I am a speed typist, doesn't take much time at all.

Enough smell of excrement and after a while you don't smell shit, no?

No. It still smells each and every time. But people are immune to their own stink from the time they are born.

We've heard that violence numbs folk to violence. I knew a Polish girl once, who when she watched American movies would writhe and scream and claw my arm to pieces.

True. But I wouldn't use a Polish girl as your example of this. Maybe a Japanese girl?

If I were the government or corrupt I would want it as you describe and be sure there was lots of negative news. When you boil a frog in an uncovered pot you raise the temperature slowly. Americans should be just about done.

Or they could just be warming up. Two more years and we will see just how done they really can be.

The best cure for the brain eating disease that has swept through society is to avoid all mass media. If something were to occur that forced every tv station and broadcaster off the air for a month the country would be a better place.

You can't keep telling people about theft, murder, rape, jobs, politics over and over 24/7 and not expect them to become numb.

LOL, I am not going to change my routine no matter what the result of the election is. I have cellered enough to keep me happy no matter what.

And with so many likely newcomers, projecting what will happen after the election is an exercise in futility, though I do have some hope for change I can believe in.

I do believe that if the Republicans sweep the Congress, the Dems will either go through an internal bloodletting or they will fold like a house of cards. Maybe both.

This was apparent to me over a year ago but you were still sucking the crack pipe of faith in a failed ideology then.

The jokes that I offered up a year ago ring truer today -

Question - What is the difference between a liberal and a puppy?
Answer - A puppy stops whining after it grows up.

Question - Who was the first liberal Democrat?
Answer - Christopher Columbus. He left not knowing where he was going, got there not knowing where he was, left not knowing where he'd been and did it all on borrowed money.
There is going to be a lame duck session. It will be interesting to see what the Democrats will do on their way out the door. That are not known to be gracious losers.

When would you like this to occur. Know this millions will die.
