I look back at others girls I've dated/been with and I sometimes wonder if I'm with the right person.

We really have totally different interests. I am very work dedicated - school is important too. I enjoy coming home from work and watching tv for a couple hours - maybe working on the bike/bikes/car - or messing with the computer.

She enjoys reading fiction/fantasy/romance books - I enjoy reading non-fiction/political books (which she calls "trash" WTGDF?)

Her interests are totally different. She is bored out of her mind by anything that interests me. It seems like we are on totally different wavelengths - she wants sex when I dont. She wants a kiss after I literally just got up from sitting next to her to take a leak, she does things that blow my mind at the... not stupidity... lack of common sense I guess.


I dunno... bleh

Ever notice, ex-girlfriends who drove you nuts when you were with them suddenly look great on paper? Theres a reason your not with your ex anymore, yet all you think about when you regret something are the good things your missing.

Keep in mind, being good on paper doesnt equate to being compatible and visa-versa. One thing I have found is it is good to have things you both like, and things only one of you likes. That way you are capable of doing things without them that follow your interest, but there still has to be one central thing you both enjoy. If you can bond over one thing, and bond well its worth it IMO.

I agree with that, when I really learn from a relationship is when the other person is different, I can just say it about girlfriends, but I enjoyed so much the relationship with my last girlfriend because we were so different, in the end she suffer more for it than I. We had something in common, but when that disappeared we broke up. So be on guard, you are in a dangerous relation, maybe she is thinking the same, maybe?

I'm of the opinion you can have different interests and still be compatible with others. Relationships are about learning and experiencing different things.

I sure as hell wouldn't want a gf who liked and disliked all the same things as me. Makes for a very boring time.

Foreign women ARE better. I somewhat jokingly subscribed to said theory for years. Then when I started college I met a Puerto Rican girl. Admittedly not as foreign as they can get, but close enough. She treated me better than any girl I'd ever met before me. Cooked, bought me sh1t all the time (she was basically my Sugar Momma) and only really asked me to do the dishes and help with the laundry. Plus she was really good in the sack and was the most... ahem... selfless girl I've ever been with. In the end though we were just way too different. Few, if any, similar interests apart from the obvious, and even more different personality wise.

No offense to the white women. I know there are quality girls out there amongst you, just in my experience foreign girls are less hung up on feminist bullsh1t, gold-digging and mindgames (this girl was the most straight forward and aggresive girl I've ever dated as well, and her friends were similar in many ways).

Plus... I love me some latin booty. Cheers. :beer:

I'm glad bennylong posted it, otherwise I would have.

It seems a little hostile but its all true.
I learned about the differences when I spent time in Europe.
Western women, (particularily American) can be much less desireable depending on what you are looking for.

I used to look down upon Foreign women because I thought they weren't as sophiscated, intelligent, and ambitious as American women. I thought it would be great to have a woman that was as intelligent as I am and have the same career desire as I do. Only during the past 2 months have I changed my feelings towards Foreign women. Who the hell want to marry someone that only cares about your career or their career???? This working 60 hours a week just to buy a bigger house and a bigger car is just a waste of life.

Foreign women have the traits I am looking for in a mate, someone that's family oriented and treat their men with respect.

in general, of course, you'll have your evil foreign women just like you'll have your gem American women

Education != intelligence or sophistication. I don't know if western women are worse, but in my experience, many many women lack any kind of developed form of common sense. Sophistication is a different issue entirely.

There is no such thing as the "right person" the person you can tolerate being around every day is the right person. So if you are happy most of the time then you are with the right girl.

Come on guys, I know darn well Dug can make a better post than that. Say SOMETHING for gods sake!

For me, I'd like to go back to Iceland and pick up a nice little viking chick. Those girls were really neat.
