I saw almost the exact same thing ~2 years ago while I was in Florida. A man who slit his wrist in attempts for suicide, failed... so he drove to the overpass of I-4 in Lake Mary and jumped. The paper the next day approximated that he bounced off 9-10 cars before he even hit the pavement... and for those who don't know I-4, cars are doing at least 75 MPH. I was exiting off to Lake Mary and saw him jump while I was on the exit ramp. Was weird to say the least.

Yea, there was actually a couple of interviews with the people who's cars he hit. One guy didn't even know that a bloody rag doll bounced out the back of his truck. He got to work and was listening to the radio and heard about it, and then one of his employees asked what the fuck he killed in the back of his truck.... LOL.

Did not see them commit the act but I saw the after effects one time. It was downtown, some woman jumped from a 20 + storey building. She was pretty fat too so the splatter was crazy and all over the sidewalk, there was literally nothing left of her, just a blob. It's sad that some peoples lives come to a stage where they don't want to live anymore :(

I have never been a witness to a suicide and I hope I never will be.

It's true though that things tend to slow down during traumatic situations like that. I recently witnessed an old lady fall flat on her face after coming out of bank. I saw her losing her balance and it seemed in slo-mo. Unfortunately I couldn't get to her until after the fact. :(

I watched a man jump off a bridge a few years ago. We talked to the police and they said the bridge was not technically high enough to kill you from the impact and that most got stuck in the soft dirt of the river and drowned. Sad to watch the divers come and pull him up.

I saw a jumper once on the Narrows Bridge in Tacoma. He was a fat dude holding onto the railing wearing nothing but shorts and the cops were trying to talk him down. Read in the newspaper the next day he was upset about his wife divorcing him, but eventually did not jump.

My buddy's Dad was fishing in the Narrows and had a body float up next to his boat. He called the Fire Department boat over, it was nearby searching for a guy who had just jumped.

I walked out of my house one morning to see a man hanging from a metal post...guess he was homeless and just decided to hang himself one night...I had seen him around the neighborhood for months before he killed himself. Strange way to start the day
