I do a combo... my regular beeping alarm clock... I have a timer that I plug my lamp into that is set to turn on... I set my cell phone to vibrate. All at the same time.

There are also "bed thumper" alarms for the hearing impaired.

But, since more than 1/2 of Anandtech has never experienced bed "shaking" of any kind, it just might scare them to death.:p

I have a clock that gradually gets louder... the only problem is when I wake up early and forget to turn it off. by the time I hear it all the way back in the kitchen, it's painfully loud in my bedroom. heh.

I've never been a heavy sleeper, though. Once I'm trained to get up within a certain time period every day, I almost always wake up on time (unless I'm exceptionally tired or there are chemicals involved)

Thats what I have now, but it just doesn't get loud enough. It's an RCA plays cd's and has all the bells and whistles, just wish it was louder.

lights up? link? never seen one

i have a ge atomic bedside clock, so i can be perfeclty late on time

the clock i had before that sounded EXACTLY like the warning alarm on the weather channel, so this thing wakes me up for years and when we were under a hurricane warning, every time i heard the alarm on the weather channel i jumped and couldnt help it =(
