Small sample size but holy smokes it’s turned my 200k Prius into a Porsche killer :D

I’ve used a lot of different brands of fuel injector cleaner and none had these results. I hope it’s not a fluke.

Anyone else try it?

Is it a cleaner like Techron? There are multiple RP products on Amazon. Which Royal Purple product did you use?

Yes it's a cleaner like Techron which is what I normally use.

hhhm I didn't realize there was more than one as it's the first time I've seen it. I bought mine at Advanced Auto Parts and in looking on their website it looks like it was the fuel system cleaner/atomizer: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...aner-18000/11205881-P?searchTerm=royal+purple

That's the price I paid and the only other one I see comes with a nozzle and is a cleaner stabilizer for double the price. I'll pick up some more and let you guys know, sorry about that.

Most OEM manufacturers like Honda/Acura specifically tell their dealerships to NOT add any oil or gas additives unless trying to correct a specific problem. Not to mention in most all owner's manuals, oil and gas additives are not listed for use. Perhaps your vehicle had some very dirty injectors and it just brought your car back to OEM performance levels.

Quite possibly using cheap gas lead to the dirty injectors. People tend to forget that the minimum detergent requirements for gas in the U.S. was set in the 1970's, when carburetors were standard, and is woefully inadequate for the fuel injectors used today.

Detergent standards were set in 1995, and they were actually lower than what many suppliers already had in their product. That's what led to the Top Tier gas.
