Ever run into the problem that you cant connect to the net after you uninstall it? Well I did and it really was pissing me off today! Ok well todayI was at my girlfriends mothers house and she wanted to remove zone alarm, so I said willingly I will help you out no problem! Yea right this little ah heck really attaches its self! First thing I did was disable the firewall then ran the uninstall went completly fine untill I rebooted and found that I could not connect to the internet at all! So I went through the registry and deleted anything that had to do with zonealarm! Did not work !Well to make a long story short luckly a good friend of mine was sitting at home today and could get to the zonealarm site and read me the extra uninstall info needed I had to remove 10 plus files and then I had to boot into safe mode at the end to remove the last file, which was vsdata95.dll . but the reason I am throwing this post out is if anyone ever comes across this they can PM me and I will give them a hand because this just upsets me that they make it so difficult to remove this silly program! Oh yea I think I could of saved myself tons of work if I would of just disabled the truevector system but come on I disabled the firewall who said this could stay going! LOL. Anyone else incounter this? Seached the forum and came up with nothing!

I uninstalled ZA from my computer and had no problem with it. I went to the ZA web site for the instructions first. The problem I was having was that ZA would only let me connect once to the internet before I had to reboot.

I've done it many times as well with no problems.

FYI the ZA website help files has a list of files that are installed for manual uninstall.

I did a little research before I tried to uninstall ZA 2.x (free version) last year. A lot of peeps had trouble getting it completely uninstalled, it seems a lot like Norton software in that respect.

I booted up in safe mode and uninstalled it, them I went back through the registry and (using the directions from ZA's site) deleted all the leftover keys.

That worked fine, but it may have been overkill. It's just that I read about so many issues with ZA uninstall that I decided to be a little anal with it.
