Ever tried rubbing alcohol instead of aftershave?

Thinking of trying that tonight. I really like the sting of aftershaves, but most are very weak...

obviously you don't know much about science. try 6N sulfuric acid or some DMAC. that will ensure your skin is smooth and tight.

seriously though, i think the alcohol will evaporate quickly, so nothing will really happen,

what are you trying to say? Using hyrdrochloric acid won't burn a little?

One of my co-workers shaves his head and puts alcohol on it afterwards. He told me to give it a try as well, so far I haven't, just witch hazel.

agreed. I popped a zit, slapped on some alcohol, by the next day i could barely tell i used to have a zit

rubbing alcohol isn't that bad unless you have a fairly good-sized open wound on your face...though i have a high tolerance for pain so even then i can block it out.

Go to your local hardware store and pick up something called PVC cleaner.

Talk about a cut. The VOC's alone will give you a helluva buzz. Don't (after) shave and drive!

I made a bikini mix by combining rubbing alcohol with a bunch of aspirin and letting it dissolve. Worked beautifully :thumbsup:

Yep. That's what I usually use, when I bother to use anything. I usually just shave in the bath/shower.

My old roomate used to use that. Worked good but made you kind of smell like you had been drinking.

Tried it. Smells bad and burn is so-so. I'll stick with Old Spice.

That is what aftershave is: Alcohol + fragrance + a little other junk

I have only used rubbing alcohol for at least 15 years.
