I was taking Straterra for a year and then all of a sudden something happend where I couldn't take it anymore. I'm sleeping 15 hours a day (3 of them I actually sleep). I cannot remember anything I studied for. I just stare at a wall. This is day three and I can't force myself to do anything.

This could all just be in my head.... I hope. I'm going crazyy

I mean, for one drug I have taken for a while for depression: Effexor XR.

Man, I missed a week of it due to insurance mix-up. My GOD just dropping off suddenly, gave me this Vertigo feeling, like the room is spinning around. But this would happen when my eyes were closed, and I would get nauseous.

Not that fun, lemme tell ya......:roll:
 
Yeah going off some medications can have serious consequences. I suggest contacting your doctor and asking for a few samples so you can step down off the drug instead of cold stopping. If you are constantly tired you can ask for medication they treat chronic fatigue with to help out for a bit.

Effexor XR is a pretty good drug. I have taken almost every anti-D, anti-psychotic and anti-convulsant around and when I stop taking them I just do it cold and I'm not affected. My bodies chemistry is really strange because I stopped Paxil 50mg (high dosage) & 1500mg Depakote (high dosage) on the same day with no problems.
 
I was on Paxil 40mg per day for almost 4yrs... at one point, they switched me to Wellbutrin over the weekend... Within a week...I was having huge nosebleeds, and vomitting blood, I started to pass out and had a seizure and ended up in the ER. I went back on Paxil 20mg for another year, then decided to quit it... I did that by butting the dose by either 2.5 or 5mg per week....it took me eight months so come off completely.

I am glad I dont take anything anymore.

Man Depakote is nasty stuff. Near-ruined my kidneys. I was on Vicodin for a long while... about three months straight. Got addicted real quick and damn I still fiend for it now and then. When the erythromycin-based antibiotics still worked for me I'd always get horrible bouts of the sh!ts.

Hey VIRUSAG11: Sounds like your a fellow 'happy camper' with BiPolar like myself. Well I take 375mg of Effexor XR and 200mg Topomax. Ughhh that one REALLY SUCKS!!!. But it is better than Depakote when I was taking that, I really got fat real quick. Horrible side affects all around. Uggh, and the Effexor has really bad sexual side affects......

Hmm, not sure why I said all that?? O well.......

Oh man I completely forgot about sexual side effects... When I was on Prozac for like 8 months I could not get it up. Period. :'(

Luckily that's over. 😀
