Ever stare at a word for a really long time...

until it starts to look funny... ? Almost as if its misspelled...

I did this today in one of my classes, stared at a bottle of 'Minute Maid OJ' for a good 10 minutes until i was convinced that minute was spelled wrong.

Is this just me?

Yeah I hate it when that happens. It starts like losing its meaning, like it dissolves when you look at it too much. Some names do that for me too.

Aphex, I just had this experience a few days ago. I was looking at the word 'course' and thought that there was something wrong with the word. Funny.

try writing a word over and over.... about 500 times... you won't even recognize it and will probably make multiple spelling errors.

I would like to point out I misspelled "we" as "whe" about 8 times in a college paper, and even added it to the spell checker

That happens to me A LOT when I'm doing logos 'n such. After trying about 400 font combinations, the words invariably start looking quite strange. It gets to the point where I have to give up for awhile, because I can't even tell what I'm doing anymore...

The coolest thing is if you say a word over and over, eventually it doesn't sound like a word anymore; it starts sounding like gibberish.

Are you sure this isn't because it said concentrate on teh bottle?
