Here is a high-res pic of Shuttle's new KT-400 board: (1.5MB) AK37GTR.jpg

Hmm... Socket A with the P4's ATX12V mobo connector. Any of the other KT-400 boards have this?

Interesting find, but I am not sure what the point of having a +12v connector on an Athlon board is. The P4 draws heavily on the +12v rail, which is why most P4 boards have the extra connector to keep the CPU fed with plenty of juice. The Athlon however, pulls heavily on the +5V rail, not the +12V rail, so it seems sort of pointless to include a +12v connector. The only thing I can think of is it might convert the power from the +12v connection to +5v somehow to keep the Athlon fed.

Weird none the less....:)

Here is the first review I have seen of this board: www.amd3d.com/review/ak37gtr.

They can't seem to explain it either:
"An unusal feature of the AK37 is the additional P4 (4-pin) power connector. The purpose for this is unclear ... I guess it's for extra power."

What's with the Molex style 4-pin connector right next to it (like those on IDE drives)?

It looks as though the P4 style ATX12V connector will also be a staple of K8 Hammer boards including the K8M400, SIS755, and SIS760, according to some early motherboard specs I've seen.
Technical Specifications:

 Processor
- AMD K8 ClawHammer, ICC max 45A, (AMD Hammer VRM design guide v1.07)
- mPGA754 package, 800 / 600 / 400 / 200 MHz ?Double Data Rate? operation both directions
- Integrated memory controller (DDR at 200, 266 and 333 MHz)
 Chipset
- VIA K8M400 NorthBridge
- VIA VT8235 South Bridge

 Environment temperature
- Operating from +10° to + 35° C
 Voltage variation ± 5%
