Actually my dog does that and we asked the vet and they said its a sign of good hips

"random acts of kitty violence"...when the cat comes up and tries to swat you for no apparent reason

also

"chasing the marklars" ... when the cat runs around the house as if chasing some aliens (we used the South Park reference)
