Hahahah I just saw this and couldn't believe what I saw, check this monster out!!

34-Inch Audiobahn subwoofer

It says it handles 5,000 watts RMS but I don't know HOW you'd get that much power to it. This is insane!

Gave me a good laugh though :)

What are the biggest woofers used in studio/band type speakers? I'm thinking 18"

Yeah that's the biggest 'standard' woofer size, I'd say though that 15" woofers are more common even than 18-inch woofers.

Probably sounds like shìt though. The center would move at a different rate than the edges majorly and fu(k up the low end.

I've seen these.. Clarion makes a 34 or 38" sub.

supposedly, they are basically useless.. the story is a guy had one in his audio shop, wired it up and started bumping it.. but no one could hear anything - it was too low of frequencies for the human ear to discern. but they could see everything on the shelves vibrating and rattling like an earthquake. :Q

good for show, but hardly practical.

LOL totally insane and impractical. It would shake everything too much...I've witnessed bass from an SVS subwoofer and it was insane. Went down to 10hz and even lower.

I have a DTS setup disc that has a frequency sweep that starts at 10hz and sweeps up to 20,000hz. These babies had no problem with the 10hz signal. I could hear clean movement from the beginning of the track well into the midrange before I stopped the disc. The sweep was smooth and there was no flapping or bottoming out of the sub. I was running both of them off the amp in the stereo mode. My fireplace began to rattle, the ductwork in the walls was shaking and the mirror on my wall was being tossed about as if in a storm....but the sub was solid and I heard no noise from it. No puffing from the port, no clammer from the top grille....nothing but good solid low bass!
SVS review

maybe that 34" would be good for a movie theater or something!

I believe Kenwood used to make a 32inch sub. I saw it on www.thezeb.com, but it doesn't appear to be there anymore. I would love to get a couple of those in my apartment .. perfect for the neighbors are busy making groaning sounds when I am trying to get to sleep.

Wow thats huge.
Wonder how much it weighs.
Might be good in that back of my mitsu for the snow covered winters here in buffalo. ;)
Provides ample weight.

That's one mother of a speaker...

i think you better make sure you have shatter-proof windows in the "wagon" you install this in :)

Considering that the human ear can only hear 20-20K, if it did a sweep from 10-20K, I doubt he heard the beginning of the track. You start to feel the bass around 16-60K.
