Ever replaced a broken CD tray?

CD tray broke off on mv CD/DVD drive. Anyone ever replaced one of these? Are they pretty standard? Just wondering if I picked up a real cheap CD drive if the tray would probably work.
 
They're close, but not always standard. If you had an Acer DVD drive, and you picked up an Acer CD drive, you'd probably have better luck then with a different brand. I've snapped them off, and not have actually broken anything on them and been able to replace them, but I know it was difficult.

When (if) I get a DVD drive, it'll be slot load for this very reason. Computer case on the floor is just too dangerous 😛
 
My wife spilled coffee on my computer about 7 months ago. Thought I had it cleaned up, until I tried to take the front cover off, guess what comes with it? Damn! Screw super glue, just let coffee dry on something.
