I actually avoid that, because then the misspelled URL stays in my history and often comes first alphabetically.

Yeah. I meant to go to amazon.com and inadvertently typed pornstargalactica.com.

I have accidently left off the 'w' in wunderground.com before. Whoops. And years ago, accidently typed huggies.com with b's instead of g's. Whoops. As I recall, that last one involved diapers, but not worn by babies.

Not on purpose, but I mistyped an address once and got a surprise. Had something to do with a particular location famous for its' Politician and my assumption as to what the address was.

FYI, Dicks Sporting Goods is not dicks.com :( I tried that. My wife was watching and she was like

At work I type gogle.com and get a blockpage with:

Reason:
The Websense category "Search Engines and Portals" is filtered.

yet google.com comes up just fine.

:D One of my sons did that. He was doing a school paper and thought he could find info at whitehouse.com. I told him to put his eyeballs back in his head and try .gov

Seriously.

But I did enjoy sending people to WhiteHouse.com back in the day.
