Ever play Democracy 2?

I ran into this indy game dev called Positech games who has this little Balance of Power type game called Democracy2. http://www.positech.co.uk/democracy2/index.html

I tried the demo out, but by the time it ends you don't get to see any of your policy changes really take effect which leaves you a little short on the game play experience. It seems like it might be fun to run a country and turn it from ruins to a super power. I'd like to know more though since it's $20 which isn't huge, but I'd rather waste my money on a sure shot

So has anyone played this game before? They seem to have a few other interesting titles dealing with space battles ala Home World, a space trader ala Elite and some kind of life sim game.

Yeah, I have Democracy 2.

It's a pretty decent game, interesting simulation with a few surprises thrown in occasionally.

The Demo should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect, but there are a few more things that you can't really experience in the Demo as it's only one term.

It's been a while since I've played, but it's one you can back to as it has pretty much unlimited replayability.


He made Gratuitous Space Battles too, which I hear is supposed to be pretty good, but I haven't played it myself.
