I can open most ~89 323s and Lasers (well, i only tried it on a few mates cars at college and it always worked, although i couldn't start them (without an immobiliser or immobiliser disarmed).

But more intriguing was last summer when i was doing some vac work down in Albany, and i get sent out to pick something up in one of the offices brand new Commodore wagons.

I parked up and went into the post office, then came out, pressed the blipper and got into the car. When i tried to start it the alarm went nuts, and i was all like ':Qomgwtfbbq!!!!!'.

At this stage a bloke came out of the post office and asked me what i was doing in his car. I was all like ':Q:Qomgwtfbbq!!!!!' again if course. Turns out he'd parked next to me (in another white late model Commodore wagon), and my blipper had just unlocked it ;)

Similarly with my folks Prado, went to lock it at the beach this summer, and 'click', up went the door locks on the Nissan Patrol next to us :Q Clicked it a few more times and watched the two sets of locks go up and down, and then we just locked theirs, then locked ours using the key...

works on old American cars too...

friend's escort keys could unlock an EXP I had (this was late 80s early 90s)

Aunt recently was locked out of her Windstar because she was using her husband's car keys (he had a Sable). Seems his key would start the windstar but not unlock the doors :)
