That in disk management, the boot partition is labeled "System", and the OS partition is labeled "Boot"?

Yea, it's retarded. Just like System32 holding the 64-bit files on 64-bit Windows.

Yep but from ms point of view its the system folder of windows on window 64 hence (syswow64)
and the system32 is for compatibility because everyone hard coded for it back in the day.

the joys of having compatibility all the way back 15 years
