Ever interviewed your future boss?

We're interviewing 3 candidates over the next 3 days to take my boss's position as he's leaving the college. I thought it was kind of strange that my VP asked me to be on the committee. Should be interesting...

It's standard procedure here that candidates for management positions (as well as consultants) are interviewed by a panel of personnel, some lower and some higher in rank than the open position. It offers a broader perspective to judge the applicants.

make sure whoever it is at least fills the following requirements:
-has as little knowledge as possible about your position
-has no training what-so-ever reguarding what your company does
-is known for creating the most half-assed in-efficient procedures and policies
-emotionally unstable
-will at least take EVERY sick/vacation day they have

Thats what i got from the last time i was on a hiring comittee at least...seems to be what people think makes for good management these days :/
