Here's a link to the company's site.

I've got a couple audio CD's and half a dozen VCD's that could use this treatment but is this little machine worth the $30 I'll spend on it?

PC Gamer had an article about it around 2 years ago, I think it did pretty good for the price it saves to buy a new CD.

But don't kill me if it doesn't work :)

I've heard, third hand, that they work OK. IMHO, You'd be better off learning not to scratch your discs.

it saved my quake 3 cd, and has reduced some skips on my audio cds. I didn't buy it though, just borrow from a friend. Its about a year and a half old now, doesn't even work anymore, but it was great when it did work.

i've had mine for about a year and used it 4x and it's worked great. once on a cd that was totally scratched (had to run it through twice). once on a dvd and twice on my friends 2 PS2 games. worked without a hitch. great buy (well actually got it as a gift). :D

Don't touch the thing. I bought one, used it carefully and with the instructs, and it mangled my discs. It's a piece of crap. Just get some of those disc wipes or use jewelry cleaner.

It'll work for very light scratches, except for the scratches near the outer/inner edges of the media. Anything deeper and all that will happen is you'll wear off the abrasive coating on the polishing surface, you'll have a sore arm, and you'll still have a scratched CD. I speak from experience...

It works pretty good, pays for itself in 2-3 uses :)

The idea behind it is pretty simple. There are many protective clear plastic layers on top of the aluminum data layer (which is closest to the label side). Minor scratches are almost always just in the plastic layers, and the *Doctor takes off a few layers, then you buff it back to new. My friend scratched my Black Sabbath CD pretty bad with his in-dash CD player, and it would skip on tracks 9-12. After a single use with the *Doctor, it played flawlessly. Needless to say, it made me happy as can be :D
