Ever have this happen? Power failure reset bios

I recently noticed that during boot my ASMEDIA SATA driver was being loaded. I know that I disabled this when I built the system as I'm not using it and it slows down boot so I checked my bios and everything had been reset to stock. The only way I think this could have happened is during a recent power outage we had recently. Or perhaps a quick double where the computer started to reboot and then the power went out again.

I've never had this happen? Have you?

Also I was checking my speed on encoding a video and it seemed like stock. Checked it and yup, my o/c is gone.

Yes, most of the new mobo's have the second, original backup bios for just that reason, so you don't brick when something like a brownout/blackout/surge happens at the wrong time.

Like Goros said. Back in the day mobos didn't reset automatically. It just wouldn't boot and you'd have to pull a jumper.

Okay. I just wanted to make sure this was normal behavior and not foreshadowing of problems with my mobo.
Thanks
