Ever have such a bad sinus infection that you completely lose your sense of smell/taste?

Green Nyquil...I can taste a tiny bit of bitter at the back of my tongue. Hot salsa. I feel it but I can't taste it. Completely stinky baby poop filled diapers, no problem (for a change). Pumpkin spiced seasonal beer - no flavor, might as well be bud light.

NYC subway - no smell whatsoever.

This is really bizarre.

Go take a hot shower, and leave a hot rag on your forehead. Try some Mucinex and that should give you a bit of your senses back.

Opened up a jar of minced garlic. Absolutely nothing. This is so wierd. I'm breathing through my nose just fine, it isn't runny. Bizarre.

That happens to me every time I have an ear infection. (I tend to get ear infections about twice per year, always when I am really congested and have a bad cold.)

Salt water up the nose has been used for a long time .... not sure about the hydrogen peroxide and iodine though ....

I have them so bad once and a while I lose my ballance... not fun when driving:0 I use warm salt water.... pour it in one and let it drain out the other (one cup) then switch sides. By doing that the salt water runs through your sinuses and cleans them out.

Works for me..... I use SinuCleanse and bought it at Walgreens. For the price it is worth a try.

agreed. the salt water is the only thing you should be using.

LOL - so I opened a jar - nothing. Passed it around the family, they all almost collapsed when they smelled it.
