This is unusual, generally, I enjoy the smell of books. However, my "Early transcendentals" calculus book emits a foul smell. Is it the ink they use? Or are the authors of the book trying to put the fear of god into their calc students?

No, I have had new books suck ass.
Pat McManus was at his prime back in the first few books. But the last couple have been aweful. He is totally out of ideas and just rehashing old stories, and they arent as good as before.

Well, Who hasn't read a terrible book (With the exception of people that don't read books). However, I've never had a book that just generally stinks.

Sorry but books are so 20th century. They suck so much even libraries are getting rid of them.

Books are awesome. They are currently the best bang for the buck media wise.

You can pick up a crappy dvd for $9, or you could pick up a great book for the same price. The crappy dvd will give you about 2 hours of entertainment. The good book? Several, sometimes days.

Not only that, but what other form of media can last for a century, give entertainment for hours, and all without using a milliwatt of electricity. 🙂

to be fair, I watch many of my movies repeatedly. I, as do many others, consider film a form of text.
