I recently started getting them in January, but I'm not now.

I never had them before. The only thing that changed in my diet was that I stopped drinking pop. Now that I've started again, I don't get them anymore.

Strange.

I believe it's a build up of mucus next to your tonsils, it smells horrible, to the point of gagging.

Tonsiliths are bacteria colonies made up and fed by bits of food that get trapped in one's tonsils.

I had my tonsils removed when I was 6, so I don't think I'd have any. But that is quite disgusting and I was in the process of biting into a hotdog.

Why? Tonsils are a good thing. I still have half of mine left (long story).

Now that you've said that, you have to tell us!!! Or go the way of the spider... :Q

Yep. And most people have them but don't know it :) (Those with no tonsils excepted)

Well, it's not really a long story, I just don't feel like telling it... but, I don't need TONSILS! in every one of my posts, so...

When I was getting my adenoids removed, my doctors accidently removed part of my tonsils, but they didn't say anything. So when I went last year for a yearly checkup, my doctor told me, "Umm, part of your tonsils are gone." So that was a shock. It was odd that my other doctors didn't tell me anything about it. Oh well, no big deal.

A large enough buildup of tonsiliths can be a cause of halitosis.
