ever had a professor from hell?

I had a prof who told me I did the best in the class, but he was giving me an A- because he felt I didn't know the subject well enough for an A. When anyone didn't know how to answer a difficult question, he would walk them through it condescendingly. When they finally did get the answer after all his pushing and prodding he would say "We've got a genius here! An absolute genius!"

this teacher's an ass. when a student asks a question, he doesn't directly answer the question and just look annoyed and repeat himself and then move on.

i took a class once that started with 45 students and ended with 5, and that was considered an abnormally large finishing class size. his previous class had 3 people left. he took this as a badge of honor. i took him for a fvcking prick. i wrote a big long letter of complaint to the school, but ultimately decided against sending it. just writing it made me feel enough better.

Are you paying for a degree or an education? There is a big difference. If the former, change classes. If the latter, seek out the difficult classes and profs, you will learn the most that way.

Why not try the class out? For some the class and professor could be impossible but maybe it won't be so bad for you. If anything just keep track of the final day to get a "W" in case you really can't handle it. Whats the worse that could happen..you'll get a W?? No big deal and it won't effect your GPA.

A few things. Sometimes " bad" professors are just challenging. Don't avoid those ones. If he is an as5 and does not make course requirements clear, but you have to take it, just work your butt off and learn in spite of him.

If he's really just bad, then take another prof. I've had some really intelligent profs who were not easy, but were interesting. You need to work harder but it's worth it and you learn a lot more than some.
