Ever had a fall-guy take the blame for something you did?

My younger brother cracked a window in our house years back with my BB gun. My dad got pissed and I assumed some ricochet from my shooting had done it. Later my brother confesses to me (too late to really care at that point) that he was target shooting an apple with a piece of concrete as the backdrop.

Anyway that's tame. But what about maybe getting somebody expelled/sent to jail for something that you did? Fess up, cowards!

The original user wrote that he was being pursued by a cop and a guy pulled off between them, thus blocking the traffic stop. So you said "I would do the same if I could get away with it." What are you talking about? You would allow someone else to take the fall if you could get away? Of course you would, who wouldn't? And how could you *not* get away with taking the blame for something? That's like saying "I would pinch myself if I could get away with it."

Well I guess I read it as conjur was about to get pulled over and he knew it was his fault, but somebody else pulled over into emergency thinking that it was theirs and for some reason the cop got them instead.

If the cop was after you, he would have gone past the guy who pulled over and gotten you. What was the violation? I can understand if you were both guilty of something, but cops aren't that easily discouraged.

My g/f in highschool took my car w/o permission and got in a hit and run accident. Someone clipped her and kept going. She was scared and i told my parents/police that i was driving the car. (i dont know why)

so i guess i've been a fall guy. She didnt even give me any money for repairs. Then she cheated on me like 6 months later. Oh well. TMI.
