Ever got more for what you ordered? Edit: Update

So I ordered a 16gb sandisk microsd card on amazon. Turns out I get two 32gb, kingston and sandisk.

What to do, I'm a bit too lazy to re-package and return it in this heat. :\
What did you do when this happened to you?

Update: Talked to amazon and the contact said that they got mixed up with the order and to keep it for being honest.

contact amazon and either ask them what to do, or if they'll mail you a return shipping package? 😛 preferably the latter as you're lazy 🙂

the best option is to return them.

if your question is about legality, then the extra goodies are now legally yours.

Ordered a Blu-ray from Overstock, first one got delivered to a neighbor, they sent me another. I got both the same day, offered to send it back and they said keep it.

Ordered brake pads, front and rear. They sent me two sets of fronts and no rears. Offered to send one set back in trade. They said keep it and sent me the rears. ($85ish)

Now is your chance to do the right thing (whatever you decide that may be). I can tell you that once I deposited $50 in my checking acct., and when I next checked the balance, it was up $500. I just let it sit there until the bank figured it out and removed it. 'Fess up and Amazon may let you keep both.

Contact them and offer to return it if they send a pre-paid shipping label. Odds are, they'll say don't worry about it.

One time I was in a Wendy's drive-thru and ordered some nuggets. I got TWO free fries in the carton with them. I thanked them immensely for their gratitude.

I ordered a number of bare-root rose plants and just received them last week. It was for a number of standards and bush types. Whoever packed them had tied two identical plants of two separate cultivars together (by ducttape and so close together I only discovered it at planting time), resulting in me receiving two extra plants (worth about $30-35 in total).

Since these things dry out quickly and must be planted immediately, sending them back was out of question. I solemnly promised to plant and look after them to the best of my ability. 😀

I ordered a computer case. A second one showed up about two weeks after the first. I called Newegg and they said to just keep it as it wasn't worth the cost of shipping back.

This.

Or if they do want you to return it, ask how much it costs, if it's not that much more just have them charge it to you.

I once got $200 worth of trees from Wayside Gardens that I didn't order. They told me to keep them. I gave them to a guy at work. I really had no place for what would eventually be 10 fifty foot evergreens.

A few years ago I ordered a 320gb Seagate Barracuda from Dell.com, and then a Razer keyboard off ebay. For some reason, Paypal flagged the dell.com purchase as an unauthorized transaction and refunded me the $70. Then they never deducted the money for the keyboard from my checking account. Was kickass.
