Ever got a dell comp without ordering it?

So I come home all excited knowing that my 20.1" widescreen lcd has arrived
only to find another huge box with a computer and 17" lcd with it!!!!😕😀

Turns out the UPS guy must have made the mistake,
I live in an apartment building and they gave me someone else's box along with my monitor.

So I've been trying to contact Dell and all I get are stupid automated menus nothing leading to a live operator!!!!!!

any suggestions or numbers for dell that actually lead somewhere?! 😕😉😀

Call UPS and report the error. I had 4 big boxes from one of those catalog magazines delivered to my place a few weeks back. The address wasn't even close but I guess because I get packages delivered to my place the UPS guys picked up a trend. 😛

haha of course theres nothing wrong with doing any of these!!!
too bad we'll have to answer for everything one day

Damn people, I hope my sarcasm meter is broken here. Ask yourself, if you were the UPS guy who made the mistake what would you want the OP to do?

Call UPS and let them know a mistake was made. This is no different than losing a wallet. You lose yours you want it back. You find another you should return it. It's common courtesy.

Yes... Just ask for customer service. They'll ask for the tracking number and all will be straightened out. The UPS guy came the next day and thanked me for reporting the error. I don't know for sure but they might even know the package was delivered anyway. Either way, do the right thing and let them know.

The guy that lived in the room next to me in college had someting similar happen to him. He got an extra monitor but Gateway told him just to keep it.

you must get all the chicks dude.

if the computer goes to someone in the same apartment complex, why don't you just take it there and explain the mistake. I am sure they will be very happy.
