Ever get the feeling...?

When you look back at moments from your childhood, specially old friends you made in school and people who followed you throughout school for many years, and then you lost contact with them for whatever reason, and now when you think of it, it seems like it was another life?

I get this feeling every time I think about my past... It really makes me nostalgic, I really wish I could "see" (or even live) all those moments again, but now its gone, everyone is gone heh... It kind of makes me sad, not because my life used to be better, but everything is so different, and you really get hit by the fact that you only have one chance, and once its gone, its gone forever...

Just wanted to share this

I went to a garden party to reminisce with my old friends
A chance to share old memories and play our songs again

Yeah, I guess some day I will think of now as a memory too, and get sad again... I just get too touchy over this kind of stuff

I think the first say 20~ years of your life are like accelerating a car... You just keep going and going until you reach a point in which it becomes stable, and then you stop and think about everything you have gone through, and thats when it hits really hard... Everything around you changed, even you changed a bit, but the core is still the same... Sometimes I feel I am not keeping up with everyone else, sometimes I still feel I am a child inside and I want time to stop and tell everyone to wait for me...

But really though, I hear you loud and clear. I share the same feeling. Your surrounding is different, some things you can do so innocently as a kid cannot be done now without consequences, you can say whatever you want to your friends w/o them analyzing what you've said two billion times.

What we've lost as adults is that innocence we see in little kids today. Why are they so happy? Cause in their world their life isn't filled with worries and responsibilities adults have. They just wanna have fun. Their life is very very simple. They don't think, they just do it.

I want to go back to that happy place.

ShadowofMyself and PeeluckyDuckee i totally agree with you two. it sucks...real bad. but you know what? maybe that's what children are for...you can have them relive what you had and be a part of it, just this time as the parent.
