Ever get shrink-wrapped software that is missing a disc?

I got Far Cry from CC the other day, went to install it, and when it asked for disc 5, I realized there wasn't a disc 5.
I'm wondering if it was left out by the manufacturers or if someone rewrapped it and returned it with a missing disc.

The tuning cd that came with my 20.1" WS LCD was missing. Newegg took care of it.

i had a shrink wrapped dvd that was missing half a movie (l.a. confidential dvd, first 40 minutes or so was l.a. confidential, then it turned into dances with wolves 😕. probably a bad pressing).

I've seen that on a copy of office from best buy that a customer brought for me to install. they gave her a new copy
