Well my sub to Maximum PC is about to run out in 2 months, and I'd like to renew. I didn't know any better so last year I got the sub. with the CD. Boy that was a waste, as after 4 months I realized I could just download all the repetitive crap they include on the CD!.

Anyway, I saw on eBay sellers offering a 3 year sub. to Maximum PC for $9-10. Has anyone ever gone through with this and gotten a mag subscription for this cheapo price on eBay? Did you eventually get your magz?

Please tell.

Thanks:thumbsup:

I did that once with porn mags....for some reason they always arrived damp.

Seriously though, I find this hard to believe.

Yes, I have a lot that I've gotten that way, and they've all come except for New Yorker, but I just recently bought that and it's too soon to tell.

Maybe I'm just lucky. A couple of them were like $1 for 3 years (Wired, Business2.0, Esquire) and so far they're great. I figured for that kind of money it didn't matter if I didn't get them.

Better Homes & Gardens, Gourmet, as well as TONY; I received them all within 1 1/2- 2 1/2 months. Pretty cheap I might add. Stick to the big time dealers, & FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. Especially if your signing up for a renewal.

I get a bunch... 4 yrs of GQ for around $5, 4 yrs of Money for around $6, 1 year of Star Magazine for my mom for around $7. Just check out the seller's feedback. I've gotten all my subs so far.

I got car and driver for a $1. It took about 6 weeks for it to show up but it worked.

These guys always used to be at the computer shows, I wondered where they all went, because in the last few years I was still working at the shows I never saw any of them.

They're a third-party company that sells magazine subscriptions. You pay them, then they relay your subscription to the magazine, which is why it takes a little longer. I've used them in the past, the only trouble I had was with PCGamer back in the day when a few magazines came without the CD. Getting it fixed took a little longer because I had subscribed through an agency rather than PCGamer directly.
