I love MREs too, but I like mine made in this century. I wouldn't mind some WWII rations for collection purposes, but I wouldn't eat them.

Was he enormous? They're 1300 calories each. I used to work with a Guardsman(he got me hooked on MREs) who got fat when he went on deployment :^D

Yes and he died of a heart attack during a car accident. Super nice guy, but he made poor health decisions. I think the craziest thing in those MREs was the cheese sauce. It was delicious, but like 1400 calories.

I enjoy the cheese, especially on the slab of bread or crackers, but you can really taste the B vitamins in it.
