See poll.

Dropped my 350D and kit lens today - landed on the lens cap.

(It was fine, btw).

Ouch... I've dropped my little nikon camera and I seriously have been thinking lately that I screwed up the internals but I would HATE to drop an expensive DSLR camera.

Buy a damn good strap and treat it like a baby! I can honestly say my EOS-20D is in as good condition now as the day I bought it, asid maybe from minor scratching of the LCD.

I haven't dropped the body, but I've dropped a lens. Luckily it was on carpet so no problems.

I must have some sort of weird astigmatism, because as I glanced by this thread, I read "Ever dropped your child on the head?" ... which of course isn't even remotely close to the actual title. I guess I must have been dropped on the head. I don't own a DSLR, but in the day, I dropped my SLR lens first onto some tile (institutional tile like linoleum, not ceramic tile). The camera was fine and the lens was intact, but the focus motor was toast. Fortuantely it was the kit lens and not a USM.

I dropped my point and shoot digital camera once, and it didn't even get a scratch. It's a Powershot S45, though, which feels like it's made of a solid brick of metal :)

I don't even want to know what would happen if I dropped my 300D w/ the 3 pound f2.8 70-200 lens attached. It would not be good.

Dropped my Canon 300D at about a foot in the driveway. Got a little scratch on corner near the battery door.

Yes! :| Dropped my 300D. I was taking my bag off my bike and didn't realize that the zipper was open. It fell probably 3 feet, and stopped reading the memory card. Cost $160 to fix it. :| But the worst part was that it took 8 freaking weeks to get it back! :| :| :| Missed Thanksgiving, a wedding, Christmas, New Years, and my birthday thanks to that. :|
