Ever buy an aquarium from Wal-mart?

I was given the task of cleaning my sister's 20g aquarium and I noticed that the tank is pretty much scratched up beyond beleif. My dad told me to go buy another tank. Every pet store and aquarium store I have gone to his out of the size I need. I'm thinking I might go to Wal-Mart and buy a tank there. Is the quality any good?

I bought a 20-gallon years ago from Walmart. I thought it was fantastic quality. Sure, not topnotch, but it was inexpensive and never gave me any problems.

no, their tanks are thinner and will crack if you put 20gallons of water in a 5 gallon tank.

Well, I may be smoking something, but I think if you tried to put 20 gallons of water in a five gallon tank all it would do is overflow...

Wal-Marts fish tanks are decent. I wouldn't buy anything bigger than 30gallons from them as I would want a higher quality one if I was getting one bigger than that, but their 20 gallon one for like $10-$20 is decent enough.

agree....

I bought one of those starter packs for a 10 gallon tank. It came with everything needed to get started. The tank leaked the first day I got it. I returned it and got a new one, but it also leaked. I think if you bought a tank and then recaulked it with some special sealent stuff for a few bucks, it should be ok to use though.

But then you could go somewhere else and buy an actual good one instead of wasting time and money fixing a crappy one.

Just went to Wal mart, they only had 10g tanks. Ugh, my dad decided to help me out and threw away the old tank. Its now cracked in peices in the dumpster.

Why is it so friggin hard to find a 20g aquarium. Ive gone to all 6 places in my city that might have aquariums.

20 gallon walmart tanks are fine. But don't get anything bigger from them. Ever seen how deep a 70 gallon leeky tank can flood?

Also, watch out with bungee cords. My sister broke a 30 gallon tank with a bungee cord.
