Say someone has been through many relationships and many breakups, and they have met someone "different." Has anyone ever broken something up because they're scared the same thing might happen again?
 
Nah man nah, do what every self respecting man does and build a 10 foot wall between you and the b!tch. This will ensure that you have little or no actual emotional attachment and the only one coming out crying is her.
 
I've seen that type of behavior in women, but not in guys. (At least expressing the desire early on to end a relationship for that reason)
 
End a relationship because you are afraid of it ending? Seems like an odd solution. Thats like eating a 30 lb hamburger because you are afraid of getting fat.
 
I don't think people here will understand because most of the nerds here have no experience with relationships.

I'm kinda in the same situation that you are. Broke up with this girl a few months back cause she had too much luggage and there were things about her that really bothered me. We didn't go out for that long, but we got too serious too quick. Anyways we broke up for about 5 months then got back together but not as serious. But I knew in the back of my mind I didn't wanna go through this again. We broke up last week and I swear it's painful. Don't know if I'm hurt more when I'm with her or without her.

i used that as an excuse once, hoping not to hurt her feelings. it was stupid, so i leveled with her and just said i dont want this anymore.
