I bought a "Cold Heet" soldering iron. Piece of crap! I could not even melt the solder...luckily I bought it at a store and it just said "as seen on TV" so I took it back.

Cold heat, how could that POSSIBLY go wrong?! 😉

The only infomercial that ever influenced me to buy the product was this one:

I still never bought it, but I was this > < close.

To this day, if I saw it for $20 or less, I'd probably scoop it up just to see if it was for real.

HAHAAHAA. I remember all the commercials for this. 90 year old ladies and 5 year old kids catching 20 pound fish left and right. it doesn't work, as I have first hand experience with it.

It looked interesting, but how do you keep the pasta from sticking together? If I just dumped pasta in a pot and didn't stir it, it would stick together in a big clump. (I know this from experience. lol)

Let us know how it works out.

You could add a drop of oil into the water to prevent the pasta from sticking together.

More oil for everyone! 🙂

Yeah, those look awesome, yet have heard the same as your experience. Buyer beware. I'm just glad you got your money back.

The old man got me one for my birthday.

Mine melts solder, but not as fast as the commercial does.

I had my dad buy the pocket fisherman for me when I was a kid. Mostly, I buy the stuff that is "as seen on tv" when it's in the bargain bin at the local hardware store for cheap. The last thing that I bought was the Ding King. It sort of worked.

I had a mini vaccuum that had a box stating "similar to products seen on tv"... does that count?

And we have a George Foreman grill. Which hasn't seemed too impressive so far.

Man, a 6" Chartreuse worm works like a charm for bass. What more do you need?

I bought a JVC Mini-dv camcorder on Home Shopping back in '99 for around $400- an incredible price back then.

Now I prolly couldn't sell it for more than $150, maybe $120.🙁
Heck, I wouldn't buy it for $100.😛
