Ever bought anything that you've seen advertised on tv?

BowFlex 🙁

Though..it is good for somethings...but not as much as I had hoped. I use it to warm up with before I go the gym.

Do you mean because it was advertised or just "Have I bought something that was also on TV?"

For the former: No
For the latter: Yes

I bought one, too. I use it to supplement my home (free weights) gym.

I got the PowerChopper, a less expensive knock-off of the Magic Bullet (cost me $16 with a coupon at BB&B)

I think a lot of us probably have George Foreman Grills. I have two.

I had a Foreman (before it stopped working), and I really really want a Little Giant ladder. But they're $$.

Never bought anything for myself but I did buy my g/f one of those spinning storage container sets, took 2 months to get it. She "had to have it."

I hate "as seen on tv" junk.

I just saw this advertised while watching cnn and went online and bought one almost immediately 🙁

This morning was the first time I saw that advertised.

It looked interesting, but how do you keep the pasta from sticking together? If I just dumped pasta in a pot and didn't stir it, it would stick together in a big clump. (I know this from experience. lol)

Let us know how it works out.

I had a George Foreman. I am really considering one of those bowflex dumbel sets, but I'm not sure if I'll use it that much.

my mom has the "Tony Little Gazelle" sitting in her basement. Its not that great. As for me I've never bought anything off the TV.

You can do it!!! Yeah!!!

You can get similar sets, probably a lot cheaper. I've seen them at Costco and Target.

i saw the commercial for "wreckless: the yakuza missions" for xbox. the commercial looked great with all of the explosions and eye candy. so i bought the game the first day it came out and then had a realization on how much of an utter pile of sh!t that game was. EBgames would only give me $6 for it a year ago.

I bought a "Cold Heet" soldering iron. Piece of crap! I could not even melt the solder...luckily I bought it at a store and it just said "as seen on TV" so I took it back.

Yeah, those look awesome, yet have heard the same as your experience. Buyer beware. I'm just glad you got your money back.

Does it count if I only borrowed it? My friend got Girls Gone Wild, as seen on tv 🙂

Or, does this count: Ronco rotisserie... "set it and forget it"... looked awesome. $160 on tv; Aldi's had the identical rotisserie, under a different name, for somewhere around $30. We use it about every other week... One of those "must have's" for the kitchen in my opinion (right next to the foreman grill, also as seen on tv.)
