When I was a kid back in the early 60's we took a trip to Indianapolis one time (we were living in a little burg called Carthage Ind. at the time) and on our way back it started coming DOWN!

My Dad, being a typical Dad, decided to take a short cut. Next thing you know, we are stuck in 4 foot drifts way out in the middle of nowhere in one of these. In the end, we wound up walking over three miles before we found anyone. It turned out to be an orphanage and we were stuck there for three days.

Turned out to be the worst snow storm they had seen in Indiana in 75 years as I recall.

quite a few times.

Most recent was last year. The highway was a skating rink, and my buddy was being a goof. had crusie control on (stupid) @ 65mph.
So many people were in the ditch it took us 4 hours to get out :-/

lol Mother Nature has this thing against me... she's tried to "snow me in" several times this winter... and I can think of many times in the past when she's tried. But... thus far, she's not been successful ;) My trusty ol' Buick has gotten me down many roads that nobody else has made it down this winter, and in winters past, I'm the one that's behind the wheel of the heated cab John Deere, pulling people out of the ditches and going to check on neighbors, etc. :D

I think that the snow would have to be... oh... >4 feet deep before I'd consider hanging up my keys for a day.
