that's supposed to be ridiculously easy?

Our prof for our mathematical finance class told us that our midterm on Monday
will have 2 problems as described iin class last Wednesday. Good luck!

And the two problems he explained were a bit too detailed and actually are insanely simple. Not only that, it's open book AND open notes.

There has to be a catch. This is an upper division econ course designed toward math majors, and even the easiest econ class I've ever taken here required more than 5 minutes of knowing how to do a problem and being able to replicate it using different variables. During lectures he also goes into graduate level stuff and assigns hw that involves semi-rigirous proofs..definitely on the other extreme of what these midterm problems will be.

If anyone is familiar with econ then, one of the problems will deal with OLS regression and figuring out the estimate beta values given a dependent y vector and independent x vectors..and a problem dealing with time series.

I never sweated midterms or finals. Those two are nothing more then review. If you dont know the material at that point....You deserve to flunk the damn things. It was funny, all my fellow students would study and study for those. They'd ask me what i was doing....I'd go relax. One time I cut out early the week before and went to the lake for a few days to go camping and jet skiing.

Relax, take your mind off. You know the material by now (You should....) and getting stressed up over it just makes it harder to perform come go time.

anytime a professor says his test is easy it sends chills down my spine. The easier they say it is, the harder it always ends up being
