Ever been in a place so dark that it's brighter with your eyes open? I was walking through my house the other day with all my lights out, blinds closed etc and found that when I had my eyes closed it appeared brighter than when I had them open. Am I just on crack or have other people experienced this as well?

lol @ title and OP first sentence. I've been in a haunted house (not a real one) that was so dark I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. Opened or closed eyes was the same.

But to answer your question, no, 'cause I don't turn on lights in my house.

Technically, it's not possible to see brighter with your eyes closed than open. You need light to bounce off of objects and enter your eye to see anything. With your eyes closed, no light enters your eye so you can't see anything, much less see anything "brighter".
