Event viewer subscriptions

I want to use Subscriptions in the Event Viewer of a computer running Windows 7 Pro, to monitor the "Directory Service" log of two DC's for errors and warnings.

The problem is that when I create the subscription, and go to Select Events->By Log, the Directory Service log (and any other log relating to Windows Server roles) are not listed. Only the logs related to the Win7 OS of the host running the Event Viewer are available.

If I connect the Event Viewer to one of the DC's, the Directory Service log appears in the left pane, but you need to be connected to the local computer in order to create subscriptions.

So how can I subscribe to the Directory Service log (or any other log on a remote computer, for a service not installed on the local computer)?

I use program called 'ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer' it works really well and you can set up a variety of custom alerts and email notifications.

Thanks, I'll check it out. Still, it does seem like it should be fairly easy to do with the built-in Windows tools and I'm just missing some (not so) obvious step.
Basically we've had some replication problems between the DC's. I think it's fixed now, but I'd like to forward all Directory Service Warnings and Errors to my computer for a while to make sure.

If there's no quick way of doing this, I'll just check the event logs of the two DC's manually now and then.
