Hi there,

I really need a big help on these errors found on event viewer (glup...):

My system:

IDE0 Controller
[1] Primary HD
[2] ATAPI IDE CD-ROM drive

IDE1 Controller
[1] Secondary HD
[2] IDE Zip 100 Drive

When I start the computer, after the log screen, the system gives me the task bar, but it "pauses" for about 1-2 minutes, before giving me the desktop icons and alows me to work on it. It gives me a message telling me some services have failed, and tells me to look at the Event Viewer ...

... And here it is ... (glup)

I just put the Warnings and errors, and not included the information items ...

Considering the fact that it's telling you about Hard drive controller problems, I would have to suggest installing an external IDE Bus. Of course, you could always remove the hard drive controllers from your device manager and reboot...see if they get reinstalled. Small driver issues like this are common, but not particularly with a hard drive controller. It looks like you may have a bad IDE Bus. You can get a PCI expansion card for around $20-50. Install it and swap your hard drives over to it. Boot the computer and test it out...see if it still gives you those errors.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your disk controllers installed.

Could also be your hard drive has some bad spots on it. I'd run a scandisk on it before I go and replace the IDE controller.
