randomly my computer stalls and my hard drive light goes solid red and the computer makes a high pitch sound until it is rebooted. When i go into my event viewer, this is the error that reads.

The device, \Device\Scsi\SI3112r1, did not respond within the timeout period.

and then immediately after it is this...

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\D during a paging operation.

following are the specs of my machine:

gigabyte k8ns pro mobo
1x 36.7gb WD raptor
2x 120gb WD SATA in raid 0
x800xt pe ( i have also tested a geforce3 ti200)
audigy2 zs
amd 64 3400+
lite on combo drive
lite on DVD burner
Antec 550W truecontrol PSU

my temps at idle is:

ambient: 77C
load: 105C
idle: 95C
full gaming: 111-113C

This typically happens during gaming, but will also happen when i am just browsing the web and have an aim client open with winamp. Please help!!!

I hope those temps are really F and not C....
if those temps are right, then thats the problem..
have you ran memtest or chkdsk?

Is the 36 gig on the second sata controller by itself?
Disconnect the 36gig raptor and see if the problem goes away. Had a similar experience and it was the drive. Would write fast but reads were molasses then failed completely.

As stevty2889 stated, hope those temps are F and not C 😉
