Evenflo baby products (E-mail thread with Evenflo)

This is an e-mail thread between my wife and Evenflo regarding their "BabyGo Portable Playard"

Cliffnotes: Baby's 2 1/2 months old, and the thing is falling apart. Evenflo just says "Ya shouldn't be using it regularly".

(Pardon my wife's grammar. Not her strong suit.)

I realize that this was not meant to replace a crib and took this fact into
consideration when I was examining the problems that I was having. However,
if advertised that there is a bassinet and changing table for portable use,
then I would expect that it would last more than a few uses to support a
newborn. Portable use would still dictate a sturdy product in which to
support a child of at least under 10 lbs. (one would think). I'm sorry to
hear that you are not interested in quality of your products. You should then
advertise this item as disposable as not to be so misleading. Again, I'm
sorry that I confused the Evenflo name with quality products that I could
trust to perform as advertised. Be assured it will not happen again. In
future, I will know then to expect that what I am paying for is in fact
designed to be disposable. I have to say the other companies have a much
better price for a more useful item. Thank you for that clarification.

I hate companies that give standard responses to emails that require detailed ones. Oh wait, that means I hate all companies. 🙁

LoL

Yeah, that response was awfully quick to be a human, wasn't it? Sigh.

Stupid stuff. We have a graco play yard, but, didn't use it very much. It seemed to work ok the few times we did use it. We also had a bassinet that lasted a long time and worked very well (But not portable).

Sounds like they were just forwarding your request on to someone else to review, but, I suggest writing a letter instead of email. I got much better results with a highchair issue I had w/ Graco via snailmail.

I'm guessing you would have gotten a second email response w/ more appropriate information w/o having to write the follow-up letter. This is based on the 'forwarding to the right dept' comment in the first response.
