Dont blame you. TF2 has been one of my favorite games for the better part of a decade...It somehow just doesn't get old for me.

Sometimes it's just easier to play a game you already know is good, or at least you enjoy more than a more current game. I'm trying to finish Amnesia right now, and something's not gelling, so I've been replaying System Shock 2 with a bunch of graphical mods- as recommended here: http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4447.0 and here http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4425.0, but you'll need to use this tool to patch things up before hand to make it mod ready and work with modern Windows/Wine versions in Linux: http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4141.0

I gave up on amnesia, just found it tedious and boring.

For me, I've always hated 18th/19th century designs, that coupled with the design of the castle doesnt work for me. Loved the second Penumbra game, though.

I just don't allow myself to play games like that anymore. I have about 200 unbeaten games and I have actually committed myself to finishing them within the next few years, so I intentionally cut myself off from multiplayer games, or just games that are endless. My brother, on the other hand, doesn't have any worry about finishing games, so he's played thousands of hours of minecraft and hundreds of WoW (within the course of a year.) I got into TF2 one summer and played for about 200 hours, and while that was a blast, I felt pretty terrible once I realized my backlog kept increasing.
