even though I like Hondas and am getting my parents' Civic ...

My mother's has 1.5 also. DAMN that car sucks! They could have at least geared it to be more fun/faster! But noo.... it has to be a total slushbox. I bet even a 1.3 swift/metro is as fast/faster! SAD!

lol @ that pic 😀

It isn't meant to be fun/fast. And I highly doubt a 1.3L Metro could hold its own against a 1.5L civic, regardless... 😛

Yeah, I raced my friend's metro in my fiancee's 1.5L CRX..... I won, barely.

I don't think anyone else knew we were racing, it was quite humorous.

You guys and your new fangled sports cars.

My Reliant had a huge 2.2 liter engine and created 86 horsepower. I couldn't spin the tires in the rain.

LOL

Even by compact car standards, civics are on the slow side (disregarding some vtec ones).

The new ones are good cars though, roomy, safe and well built. Just slow still.

Neither can i... 😛 my 2.5 liter 4 banger has 100hp... i'm sure less than that now... i think i would have to snap the tranny in half before i can spin anything... let alone my tires. 😀

Yes, but rotary engines use displacement more efficiently, it's hard to explain though without seeing a diagram on how it works.
