So I'm a recent EE grad but I'm a sales rep now at an electronics distributor. Basically I make and take phone calls to try to get other companies to buy from us. At first it was like, I'm not sure this is for me, but there's nothing else out there.

But the people I work with are interesting and friendly, it gives me a different perspective on a lot of things, and I'm learning a lot. Also, half the people in my office are hot women. I've opened 3 accounts so far and this week I've been working on getting an order worth 100K. One of the top sales guy at my office is 28 and drives a current model MB CL600.

Cool!

I like my job as well. I get paid a ridiculous amount compared to the amounts of hours put in . . . great stuff! :D:D:D

Pay is crap relative to a starting engineer for the first 3 months, but it has the potential to break into six digits if you work at it and stuff.

I don't get commission in the traditional sense, but certain products you get paid for selling. Also there are performance based bonuses.

Supposedly we have another branch with dozens of hot women. I might have to visit the other location sometime. :D
