Slow be one of those types that have a hard time navigating anything not boolean in nature.
As air rifles improved and even 5.5mm moved into boar hunting spectrum, it made sense that anything above 4.5mm/0.177cal is made illegal / requiring a hunters license in most of Europe.
4.5mm is still legal, but, if the current trend of semi auto, high velocity pcp etc keeps going, those rifles are heading for that territory too.
And it makes good sense.
